Welcome to our web site!

The new ScoutWatch combines the functions of a radar gun, pitch counter, umpire clicker, stopwatch, and lapspeed measure.

A large display enables viewing from arms length, and a mode display makes operation very simple.

The patented ScoutWatch is the only device on the market that is PRE-PROGRAMMED for every size field, including all softball and baseball fields with different pitching distances.

The ScoutWatch is designed specifically for baseball operations, including one-touch pitch speed  measurement in MPH (also KPH), and a ball-strike counter for both Home and Away pitchers.

In the UMP mode, the ball-strike indicator automatically resets to 0: 0 after walks and strikeouts, and resets as well after 3 outs.

When turned off and back on, it remembers all previous data, including which mode you were in.  Switching modes does NOT delete data from the other modes that may have been used.

Lastly, the ScoutWatch can be programmed for any distance up to 100,000 feet, so that if you want to see how fast a runner runs in MPH, or how fast a car speeds around a racetrack, you can both get the LAP-TIME and the MPH.

ScoutWatch Instructions

When you power ON the ScoutWatch it will go to the same location (mode) that you last used. Previous data and settings will be retained. After power ON, all displayable segments will show for 1 second, after which the current mode is displayed on the left side of the display.

MPH The MPH mode allows you to measure pitch speed in MPH. Simply press down

the "START" button on the pitcher’s release and let up when the ball is caught.

The pitch speed will display in MPH. If the ball is hit, press and release "START"

when the batter reaches 1st base and read both the PITCH SPEED and runner’s

time-down-the line, alternating every second. Press RESET to advance to the

next pitch. The next pitch count will be displayed.

KPH The KPH mode works in the same way as MPH, except the results are expressed

as KPH instead of MPH. To change the mound distance, press RESET twice,

then use the START button to select the distance, 60, 46, 55, 54, 50, 43, 40, or

35 feet, followed by RESET. Te next pitch count will be displayed.

PCH In the PCH (Pitch Count/HOME) mode, the Strikes and Balls will be counted

using the "BALL" and "STRIKE" buttons. The balls and strikes are separated by

a colon, and alternate with the TOTAL pitches thrown.

PCA In the PCA (Pitch Count/AWAY) mode, ball and strikes will be kept for the

"AWAY" pitcher. Either PCH or PCA can be reset to 00:00 by pressing

"RESET" for 5 seconds. The other pitch count will not be effected. Typing

"MODE" will revert back to the "HOME" pitcher’s statistics.

UMP To exit PCH or PCA, hold the mode button down for 2 seconds, and the

ScoutWatch will advance to the "UMP" umpire mode. Using the "BALL" and

"STRIKE" buttons, the ScoutWatch acts as a "clicker", but will automatically

advance OUTS, and reset the count to 00:00. If an out occurs in the field simply

press the STRIKE button until an OUT is registered.. After 3 outs, the display

resets to 00:00 for the next ½ inning.

TIM The TIM (timer) mode allows you to use the ScoutWatch exactly as a stopwatch.

TIM/MPH The TIM plus MPH mode enables you to set any distance (default is 5280 ft, 1

mile), and calculate the MPH for a vehicle traveling that distance, around a

racetrack, for instance. Simply press and release the START button at the

beginning of the lap and at the end of the lap and read the speed in MPH along

with the elapsed time. Reset using the RESET button. To change the distance,

press the RESET button to display the current distance (in units of 10 feet). Then

using the START and MODE buttons, increase or decrease the distance. By

incrementing in units of 10 feet, a distance of 99990 feet can be programmed,

almost 19 miles. To set 1 mile, 528 should be displayed. For metric distances,

convert to feet, ie, 10K = 32,808 ft., so set 3281 in the program mode. After the

distance is displayed, push the RESET button. It will remain in memory even

if the ScoutWatch is turned OFF.  Maximum measurable speed is 999 MPH.

At any time, pressing the MODE button for 3 seconds will power down WITHOUT losing any previous data.

If you have any questions, please call Sports Products Consultants at 800/474-8243.  The ScoutWatch uses a 3 volt 2L76-type battery, accessible thru the coin-operated door on the back cover. To eject the battery, use a coin to open the battery door and tap the ScoutWatch against your palm. Insert a new battery, negative (-) side down. Replace the door securely. Check for the watertight O-ring beneath the door.
